Who, What, When, Where?

In 2024 a group of parents, grandparents, and Christian educators who want the best for their children and grandchildren joined forces to establish the "Living Waters Classical Christian Academy", an alliance of homeschool families in Delta County, Michigan.

The Living Waters Academy (LWA) is not a "school", but rather a synchronized homeschool support ministry designed to make homeschooling a breeze. We make it easy for you to provide your student with a rigorous classical education in a Christian friendly environment with a minimal amount of effort. To this end, our faith based ministry will help parents withdraw their children from public school, select a curriculum, develop lesson plans, and offer tutoring and student enrichment opportunities weekdays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM along with mentoring in traditional Judeo-Christian values. Classes begin September 1, 2026 at 1022 Wisconsin Avenue, in Gladstone, MI where we rent space from the Community of Christ Church. Living Waters Academy is currently taking enrollments into our "Homeschool Partnership Program" for children in grades 3-8 for the 2026/27 school year. Call for information today!

How?

Living Waters Academy follows a schedule that is very similar to a traditional public school, but that is where the similarities end. By synchronizing lesson plans across various homeschool families, LWA can offer tutoring and mentoring to those families at a fraction of the cost of hiring a private tutor. LWA offers administrative assistance, tutoring, and mentoring for homeschool families who purchase the recommended homeschool curriculum. Tutoring methods are based on the classical trivium model of education as prescribed in a now famous essay by Dorothy Sayers titled, "The Lost Tools of Learning". This combination of method and material has been successfully tested by a myriad of schools that belong to the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS). Their record of success is stellar and undeniable and has been independently confirmed in a study conducted by the University of Notre Dame which compares 6 different methods of K-12 education. Living Waters Academy is not a member of the ACCS because we are a faith-based ministry and not a "school" per se, but we try to follow in the footsteps of those trail blazers where applicable.

The Bible informs parents to raise up their children in the way they should go... and to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Our goal at LWA is to help you accomplish this mandate. Our intention is to help you teach your students to teach themselves, to give them the ability to learn and discern, and to express themselves with confidence and grace. We want to help you engage your student in a high quality, Christ-centered education that equips them to reach their unique potential in order to produce the next generation of well-rounded servant leaders.
